VIVA is supported by a small but growing pool of key volunteers who generously contribute their time and talents.
We strongly believe in matching VIVA’s needs and projects to our volunteers’ skill-sets, experience and availability – because that’s when the magic happens!
With new projects and initiatives being planned, we are looking for Volunteers in the Marketing, Communications and Outreach space. We welcome students who are studying in these disciplines looking for opportunities to use your creativity, as well as adults who have the time and passion in these disciplines.

Photography Volunteer
- Capture evocative photos during VIVA events to be used in marketing and communications campaigns
- Edit photos as necessary

Videography Volunteer
- Conceptualise video content for VIVA’s outreach activities and campaigns
- Capture video footage for creating video content

Content Writer Volunteer
- Plan, conduct, and write up interviews with key VIVA stakeholders
- Assist in writing, producing and assembling content for articles for the VIVA blog, including proposing topics
Skills
- Copywriting skills towards creating blog content
- Sensitivity for conducting interviews with high-level stakeholders and families affected by childhood cancer, prior experience in conducting either video, in-person, or phone interviews is a plus
Digital Marketing and Communications Volunteer
- Assist in planning and execution of social media campaigns for fundraising activities
- Assist in producing digital assets, such as social media and web graphics, flyers, etc, for outreach activities
- Assist in database-building for new partners to grow the VIVA community
Skills
- Eye for graphic design – working with Canva a minimum
- Experience in running social media and digital marketing campaigns
- Know-how in widening community outreach engagement
- Database-building
- IT-savvy: knowledge in managing social media platforms, mailing platforms (Mailchimp), and websites (Joomla)

Who and Why Volunteer with VIVA?
I have the wonderful opportunity of volunteering with VIVA Foundation for Children with Cancer, as my husband and I recently relocated to Singapore from Sydney, Australia. I am fortunate enough to be in a position where I can donate my time, knowledge and experience to a great cause.’
I currently contribute about 15 hours a week of my time, supporting projects and events including the St Jude VIVA Forum. My time spent in VIVA Foundation has so far been personally rewarding and fulfilling.

My son was diagnosed with leukemia and received chemotherapy treatment in Singapore. I have been supported by many people here so naturally gained the desire to help others. I came to know of VIVA Foundation through his doctors and hospital, and decided to volunteer with them.
I volunteer for 2 hours each week and help to pull together some research and medical information from my experience as a parent of a cancer patient. I hope these can help other parents in similar situations. I strongly agree with mission of the Foundation. 我希望先进的疗法能拯救更多的癌症儿童，就像这些疗法拯救我的儿子一样。
