Terms Of Reference

Each Member, including its employees, officers and directors, agrees to abide by the terms and conditions of VIVA Foundation, as set forth below. VIVA Foundation may change the Terms and Conditions at any time with or without notice and each Member’s continued participation shall be considered acceptance of such changes. Failure to comply with the Terms and Conditions may result in the suspension or termination of membership, such as suspension or termination

Commitment

  1. A briefing or orientation session will be organised to help volunteers familiarise yourselves with VIVA’s mission and projects
  2. Your services/volunteering will be discussed and scoped out with you, taking on board your time and resource availability, as well as your areas of interest and talent such that your volunteer journey with VIVA will be a meaningful and impactful one.

Code of Conduct

  1. All VIVA Volunteers will carry themselves in a responsible and professional manner, upholding the reputation of VIVA in all situations and dealings.
  2. Volunteers will uphold the confidentiality of any information or materials encountered during the course of volunteering
  3. Volunteers are not allowed to commit VIVA to projects or funding unless prior approval has been given.
  4. Volunteers are not allowed to represent VIVA to the media or elsewhere, based on their volunteer status unless prior approval has been given.
  5. VIVA reserves the right to terminate the service of any volunteer who does not comply with VIVA’s Code of Conduct for volunteers.

Non-disclosure

  1. All VIVA Volunteers who are privy to all the Confidential Information about VIVA agree to retain them in strict confidence, to protect the security, integrity and confidentiality of such information and not permit unauthorised access to or unauthorised use, disclosure, publication or dissemination of the same.
  2. Confidential Information is and will remain the sole and exclusive property of VIVA
  3. Confidential Information referred to shall mean any data, information, knowledge disclosed by VIVA to the Volunteer and not generally known to the public.
  4. The obligation not to disclose confidential Information shall survive the termination of being a Volunteer of VIVA and at no time will the Volunteer be permitted to disclose such Confidential Information, except when there is a written consent from VIVA.

Declaration and Indemnity

  1. Volunteers will not in any way hold VIVA responsible for any liability, loss, damage, expense and cost, which the volunteers may sustain, incur or receive as a result of such services and activities.

Volunteer Recognition & Acknowledgement

  1. We deeply appreciate your willingness to contribute to VIVA’s mission to save lives of children with cancer, now and beyond our lifetimes.
  2. Upon request, we would be happy to provide a certificate of appreciation or testimonial based on your volunteer services if you require this.
